MS Leadership Academy Goals

Cadets who attend the MSLA will find that the instruction will greatly help them when performing leadership roles at their home squadrons and at other CAP activities. Serving on Encampment staff provides a perfect opportunity for cadets to practice the lessons learned from the MSLA. 

Cadets who intend on applying for Encampment staff are highly encouraged to attend the MSLA in order to begin developing their leadership abilities. You will learn the lessons needed to serve at any CAP event. 

Who should attend Mississippi Wing Leadership Academy (MSLA)?

● Any cadet who is a current member of CAP and who has been promoted to Cadet Senior Airman C/SrA, Achievement 3 Mary Feik and above.  

● Any cadet who would like to improve their leadership capabilities.

● Any cadet who would like to go to encampment as Cadre.

● Any senior member who is a current member of CAP and takes pride in developing cadets into incredible adults.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​NOTE: We are still in need of staff who would like to help in the dining facility. 

Experienced Cadets and Senior Members who are willing to support this academy, need to apply as staff as soon as possible.

MSLA Dates & Application Links

Arrive Friday evening between 6pm and 8pm if at all possible.  If you cannot make it Friday evening, then you need check in before 8 am Saturday Morning. Graduation from MSLA will follow on Sunday @1145.
