Application & Required Forms 

Below are step-by-step instructions for completing all required items for the Mississippi Wing Cadet Retreat. Please READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS before completing an application. 

Date: Friday-Sunday 13-15 September 2024

Location: Camp Yocona  878 Boy Scout Rd, Randolph, MS 38864

Drop Off: Friday 13 September from 1700-1900 (5-7 pm CST)     

CAC Drop Off:  Friday 13 September from 1600-1700 (4-5 pm CST)

Pick up (all):  Sunday 15 September at 1300 (1:00 pm)

Step 1 Registration Form:

The registration form is the first step in securing a position at the MSWG Cadet Retreat. This is a Google Form. This form also covers the required forms for an activity: CAPF 60-80, CAPF 160-161-163

Step 3 Payment: 

The cost is $55 per cadet and MUST be paid at check-in. Cash or checks are accepted at drop-off. Please make checks payable to MSWG Civil Air Patrol (put cadet name on the memo line)

-If you are riding in a CAP van, please ensure you have your payment. 

-Payment MUST be made at arrival or you will be sent home. 

UPDATE: Please bring a swimsuit! We are trying to put together some activities with the lake at Camp Yocona. Males: Modest long swim trunks and shirt. Females: Modest one-piece swimsuit WITH shorts. 

National has approved cadet programs to utilize the Girl Scout High Adventures procedures for our activities. Please see the attachment here:  Girl Scout Procedures.

**Bring water inflatable(s) for the Lake**

The CAC is excited to announce a BALSA WOOD GLIDER competition and a MODEL ROCKET competition!

You have the option to compete in a Balsa Wood Glider competition OR a Model Rocket competition. 

Here is the link to purchase an Este's model rocket. You can buy a kit from somewhere else if you'd like as well. 

Please purchase AND BUILD your balsa wood glider or your model rocket BEFORE you arrive at the retreat! We will only have time for the competitions.

DO NOT ATTACH YOUR ENGINE TO YOUR ROCKET BEFORE ARRIVAL!!!!
