Application & Required Form/Course Instructions
Below are step-by-step instructions for completing all required items for the Mississippi Wing Encampment. The first 2 steps must be completed as part of the application process, and the remaining steps must be completed after acceptance to cadre. Please READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS before completing an application.
Step 1 Registration Form: The registration form is the first step in securing a spot at Encampment. It is long, but it replaces multiple forms and covers all the required information. You will be allowed to return and finish the form in stages. Once you have completed the form, you will be automatically emailed a copy of your responses to the initial email. Please keep a copy for your records.
Step 2 Supplemental Information: Cadet Cadre Applicants must upload their resume and letter of intent to the MSWG Encampment Dropbox before the application period closes. Resumes should be formatted as described in CAP Learn to Lead Volume 2, pages 176-178. The letters of intent should include the position desired, the individual's qualifications, and a statement indicating why that individual should be selected for the desired position. Please, upload your resume using this naming convention: Applicant Last Name, Applicant First Name, Resume
Step 3 DocuSign Signing: Within a week of completing the online application, the cadet's parents/legal guardians will receive a DocuSign email. The documents must be signed promptly for the cadet's spot to be confirmed.
Step 4 Additional Forms: Depending on what military orientation flights we secure, you may receive additional forms that your cadet must complete before encampment to be able to fly.
Step 5 Payment: You will receive an email outlining your payment options. Encampment must be paid for by NLT 10 June 2024.
Step 6 Required Courses: Mississippi Wing Cadet Cadre members must have completed Cadet Protection Course Basic (if over age 18), Basic Risk Management, and I-CUT. These courses can be completed in E-Services. These courses may be submitted AFTER acceptance to Mississippi Wing Encampment cadre, but NLT 10 June 2024. Questions on how to complete these courses can be addressed to encampment@mswg.cap.gov.
